My Postpartum Services

In addition to my services as a labor support doula, I am also an experienced postpartum doula. A doula's job is not limited to labor and delivery. It is often times just the beginning. I offer my services to mothers and fathers who need a helping hand with a delicate touch to assist them with their newborn. Whether you're a first time parent and are looking for someone to help guide you through the first few months of your new baby's life or if you have been here before and are just looking for a refresher course and/or a goodnight's sleep, I can help you.

A postpartum doula is an individual who works with new families during the postpartum period, to help them to better enjoy the early days with their new baby. The postpartum doula provides non-medical support and help to create a nurturing environment for the mother, father, and baby. The role of the doula is not to assume primary responsibility for the newborn, but to assist the mother and her partner in their new role as parents so they can bond with and take care of their baby.

  • Postpartum care for the mom:  I provide emotional support, breast and bottle feeding instruction as well as general guidance and support to reduce family stress. I provide overnight care so you can catch up on your much needed and deserved sleep. I specialize in providing help to moms with multiples. I can also help you set up your nursery. In addition to these services, I provide special help to moms battling postpartum depression. I am also a professional member of the group: Postpartum Support International.

"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much I had in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child."
